Great work, thank you for making these videos of such high quality. I am very interested in this topic and its awesome seeing someone having gone through a bunch of problems I may have to encounter.
gah...this was the last video. I feel like I got hooked on a Netflix show that was really good but lost funding.
i mean, you're not wrong. it was just time/energy funding. i might be able to do an update video this summer, we'll see
@BarbMakesThings thank you for sharing up to that point, it was fascinating
Incredible! So useful! Thank you for sharing! :D
cool!!
How am I just now learning about this. This is such a great idea.
You're a genius
As a drum builder I just found this series while looking for unique drum designs. You freaking nailed this out of the park. Props Barb!
Fine.
Amazing
Feliz Ano Novo. Seu vídeo é Top. Me inscrevi no canal.
Woodworker has CNC machine but doesn't have a lathe? Alrighty then! Cheers!
Hi, I use the same servos. How did you create the servo holder? can you send me a dimentions for the servo horns I'm struggling with that.... :( Thanks
I’m Gabriel’s friend
Barb, you will never know the joy of not knowing if the head fits until it is built. Well done.
Push ....stick..... 👉🏏 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
cool as heck thanks for sharing your process with all these videos!
Ok so this is what heppends when enjenirs are horny
Hmmm....this was suck a killer video to watch. But, what happens if you don't have an extraordinarily expensive CNC machine?
Such a beautifully, straightforward, clean video. Just like the technique!
Eu fiz um tipo bem diferent mas com um funcion parecid com 3 cabos e 1 eixo principal

Simply amazing idea!
Needs reso head!
Really amazing and beautiful work, I am looking for ways to diy some cases for my mom's stitcher and I came across your podcast. I do not have so many tools you have and so I have to keep searching.👍
Hi Barb, any updates on the Octobot very cool project.
So I made some jumping spider enclosures using pop bottles and E6000 glue. But the glue smells horrible and takes forever to dry to the point it doesn't off-gas anymore. So in my head I was thinking plastic rivets, and then I was thinking 3d printed rivets! I initially thought of using the soldering iron but decided to google and I really liked your idea of using a hot glue gun as well as using pliers to put a fixed amount on the other side of the hole.
Genius.
Hey! I love your stuff! But i wish you’d make longer videos.
Did you finish the octopus?
I want to buy tis
Hmm, when you cut out the pentagon in the plywood, I thought "very smart, she's going to assemble her very carefully cut strips of wood inside the frame, glue them up, and wedge-clamp them together." Buuuut you didn't go that route. Sad face :(
Barb, another trick that you can use when making blobs and jellies, is use either parchment paper or waxed paper. The parchment is best as it doesn't leave a residue on the bottom like waxed. The hot glue doesn't stick to them.
I don't know why... But I always though that the first woman that make robotic tentacal will be Japanese. Welll we will never know.
That is so smart, thank you for sharing!
I love it. At last an art video I might be able to do lol
would love to see the finished product!
Love doing this, been doing it for years, love that you made a video
Nice Job

Is it possible to get the disc stl file from you? I am working on a doc ock costume and wanted to adapt some of your ideas if that’s okay!
Do you think this would work on a larger scale with pool noodles?
Have you tried using nitinol wire in order to replace the motors and make it more compact while having smoother movements? I'm trying to find inspiration for a project I consider doing sometime later on.
Thanks for the demonstration! I didn't expect you to be so cute; it was actually difficult to focus on the tentacle. Love your glasses....
Love the puppets, a shame I missed your live link! I'm going to try and make a Docdecahedron! Do you ever share your Fusion 360 makefiles?
Santaolalla's really concerned about the capacity of this device to replace him in every film score to come
Nice
👍 ... I wanna make a rhombic dodecahedron... any video or links you know of? Want to make an infinity mirror with a rhombic dedacohedron because it tessalates perfectly in 3D space.
